Park of Culture and Leisure Tailyak
The Tailyak district of the Samarkand region is considered one of the most beautiful, ancient and famous districts. In the Middle Ages it was called Dar, and later Shovdar. The grandson of Amir Timur, the famous Zahiriddin Muhammad Bobur, wrote that here his grandfather laid out the gardens of Bog-i Zagon, Bog-i Dilkusho and Bog-i Davlatobod.
The Tailyak district is the birthplace of many cultural figures and educators of the Islamic religion, whose mausoleums over the graves are today a place of worship for numerous pilgrims.
One of the saints buried on this land is Imam Abdurakhman ad-Daromiy as-Samarqandiy. Famous muhaddis (writer of hadith), friend of Imam Al Bukhari, author of collections of hadith. In 2000, a memorial complex was erected over the place of his burial, attracting pilgrims from all over the world.
Khoja Sakoya Wali, one of the caliphs of Bahauddin Naqshbandi, was buried under a high hill that was created by Amir Timur in his garden of Bog-i Dilkusho. Later, a mausoleum was also erected over his grave.
There is also a memorial to the theologian Amir Hussein in Taylak.
In addition, numerous saints such as Bandikusho, Imam Fahreddin, Orif Mokhtob, Khoja Zakariye, Khoja Hassan are buried here, however, almost no information has been preserved about their lives and activities.
The centuries-old plane trees growing in the Tailyak garden are also one of the attractions of the district.
One of the leaders of the Jadid movement of the Turkestan region and its activist, Mahmudhoja Behbudi, was also a native of the Tailyak district.
The Tailyak district of the Samarkand region is rich in its culture and holy places and annually attracts numerous tourists and pilgrims from all over the world.
